Learner manager institution settings

The institution settings for learner manager are configured on the following screens (accessed from the Product Modules pane):

The Enrolment Manager screen (accessed from the Product Modules pane) contains the institution settings for use in the learner manager module.

Enrolment Manager Institution Settings

The fields on the Enrolment Manager screen are described in the following table.

This field Holds this information...
Include tutor groups (roll forward) Whether you want to roll forward the tutor group allocations for the learners from the source code occurrence to the target course occurrence.
Include non-default waivers (roll forward) Whether you want to roll forward the non-default waivers (that is: those selected for each learner) for the learners from the source course occurrence to the target course occurrence.
Allow bulk enrolment past course end date Whether to progress the bulk enrolment to after the end date of the course.
Include special details (roll forward) Whether you want to roll forward the special details record associated with the source course occurrence to the target course occurrence.
Include special start and end dates (roll forward) Whether you want to roll forward the special start date and special end date record associated with the source course occurrence to the target course occurrence.
Include special aim start and end dates (roll forward) Whether you want to roll forward the special learner aim start date and special learner aim end date record associated with the source course occurrence to the target course occurrence.
Include group reference (roll forward) Whether you want to roll forward the group reference for the learners from the source course occurrence to the target course occurrence.
Rollback transaction on partial failure

Whether to specify whether a bulk enrolment completes for successful records when there is a partial failure.

This is defaulted to N on install which enables the transaction to complete successful enrolments by restricting failures to enrolments that don’t meet validation.

Updating this setting to Y will allow the whole transaction to roll back if a failure occurs so that none of the select enrolments are completed.

The Applications screen (accessed from the Product Modules pane) contains two institution settings for use in the learner manager module.

Default application progress code The default application progress code to be used when creating new application records.
UK Maintain Application after converting to Enrolment Whether to maintain application records after converting to an enrolment.

The PLR/LRS screen contains the institution settings for use with the PLR Attainments functionality.

PLR/LRS institution settings screen

The fields on the PLR/LRS screen are described in the following table.

 
This field Holds this information...
Default Attainment Type The default attainment type to be used. Select from the drop-down list.
Invoking Organisation

The software service provider.

This should be set to Tribal.
Reference The UKPRN number of the college.
Username The username that should be used to access the PLR Web Service.
Password The password that should be used to access the PLR Web Service.
Attainments (PLR) Web Service URL The web address to connect to for the download of PLR data.
Batch size for the PLR Request

The number of learners sent when requesting PLR details per batch to the LRS.

It is recommended this is set to 20.
Vendor Id The vendor ID is a mandatory parameter for the PLR web service and must be set to 3.
